Job Title : Water Treatment Technician

 We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Water Treatment Technician to join our team at YAR Drainage Maintenance Services. The technician will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting water treatment systems to ensure the safe and efficient treatment of water for industrial, commercial, or municipal use. The ideal candidate will have expertise in filtration, chemical dosing, and regulatory compliance related to water quality.

 

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Operation & Maintenance

    Operate and monitor water treatment systems, including filtration, reverse osmosis, and chemical dosing units.

    Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on pumps, valves, meters, and control systems.

    Conduct water sampling and quality testing to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

    Adjust chemical treatment processes as needed based on test results.

 2. Compliance & Safety

    Ensure all water treatment processes meet local water quality regulations.

    Maintain proper records of chemical usage, test results, and equipment maintenance.

    Follow safety protocols when handling hazardous chemicals and wastewater.

 3. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving

    Identify and resolve operational issues in water treatment systems.

    Work with engineers and supervisors to improve system performance and efficiency.

    Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or water contamination.

 4. Customer Support & Training

    Assist clients or facility staff in understanding proper water treatment procedures.

    Conduct training sessions on equipment operation, chemical safety, and maintenance protocols.

Requirements

    Diploma or Associate’s degree in Environmental Science, Water Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

    At least 2 years of experience in water treatment, wastewater management, or industrial water systems.

    Knowledge of filtration systems, reverse osmosis, chemical dosing, and disinfection processes.

    Ability to operate test kits, meters, and laboratory equipment for water analysis.

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle hazardous chemicals safely.
